<image:caption>Licensed Thrive Programme Coach, helping people to build life-changing mental health and wellbeing I am a fully Licensed Coach for The Thrive Programme (TTP) and have been working in this role for around 5 years, seeing a huge range of clients with different symptoms and difficulties, from young people and teenagers right up to pensioners! I also see clients all over the world so if you have a good internet connection and the desire to learn to thrive, time zones allowing I would be very happy to discuss working with you. I believe it’s really important that you have confidence that your Coach is not only experienced in the role and is confident in their ability to help their clients to achieve the best results possible, but is also passionate about using the programme in their own life too. That’s why for me the fact that I chose to become a TTP Coach BECAUSE the programme helped me transform my own life and mental health first too is really important. It means I am hugely passionate about sharing my own journey, and my clients (see review page) feel confident knowing that I’ve been where they are, I understand it, and I’ve taken the same route they are about to (The Thrive Programme) to get out of it too.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Licensed Thrive Programme Coach (ATPC) I have been a fully licensed Coach for The Thrive Programme (TTP) for around 5 years. In this time, I have helped clients of all ages and backgrounds with a huge range of mental health symptoms to reclaim their mental health and to feel back in control of their lives again. The programme is built around three core principles to ensure that it is as powerful as possible for anybody choosing to go through it. At its heart, the programme is designed to be; Easy to understand Empowering, and Evidence-based No drugs, no side effects, no exposure therapy or ongoing and painful journeys picking through everything in your past. Just research-backed insights into your current mental wellbeing and foundations, tools and simple exercises to follow to help you think and feel different, and a Coach that has not only been there but genuinely wants to help you get out of it and build a thriving life too!</image:caption>

<image:title>Sobriety</image:title>
<image:caption>Sober, and passionate about sobriety! I have been sober for almost 4 of the past 5 years, and am passionate about helping people who are struggling with alcohol or other substances too. That’s why I am a Bee Sober Ambassador for Bee Sober CIC (an organisation to help and support others trying to cut alcohol out of their lives, and to build sober social connections too!). I also worked in a new Sober Bar ('Sobar') when it first opened in Bournemouth, the first Sober Bar on the South Coast of the UK. I love experimenting with alcohol free drinks (and have been doing so at home with friends for years now) and showing people that you can have the same taste without the messy end result, and feel socially included again! You can find Sobar on Instagram HERE and on Facebook HERE! I have done more and more around sobriety since quitting myself, including a podcast back in 2019 (shared below!) about my journey to sobriety on an alcohol free podcast, a Thrive Programme video about my alcohol journey, going to alcohol free tasting events and pop-up alcohol-free off licences in London, training with the Amy Winehouse Foundation's Schools Programme to go into secondary schools and do talks and workshops on alcohol and drugs, and obviously my own mental health coaching too. I’ve also worked in Parliament for MPs, and worked for local councils too, worked directly with local homeless people during Covid (many of whom were struggling with addictions), and behind the scenes helping to write local authority policies and strategies on drugs and alcohol (amongst other related policy areas). In 2019, I also designed and completed a 'Year of Fear' for myself, where I did one challenge a year to scare the hell out of myself and raise money for charity - 2 out of the 3 charities that I raised money for were alcohol-related charities (Alcohol Change UK, and Action on Addiction), so my heart has very much been in the sobriety/recovery movement for a long time.</image:caption>

<image:title>Client Reviews - “I’m writing my story so that others might see fragments of themselves.”</image:title>
<image:caption>— Lena Waithe, screenwriter for Bones and Master of None One of the best moments for me when working with a client, is seeing the change from the start to the end of that process. But what’s even more special is when they want to share their amazing (and very personal) journey with others, so that they can be inspired and motivated that change is possible for them too! Here is a selection of just some of the written and video reviews received from clients who have worked through The Thrive Programme with me over the last 5 years. Keep an eye on my social media (‘Thrive with Lisa’) to see new written and video reviews whenever I receive them! Thank you so much to every single client that took the time to provide me with a review - they are more valuable to others who are struggling than you may ever know…</image:caption>

<image:title>Client Reviews - Jessica “ I found The Thrive Programme one anxious night as I scoured the internet for any sort of help for my emetophobia + generalized anxiety. By that point I’d tried therapy (various types), books, meditation … even a psychedelic trip which I thought might “cure” me. But nothing worked. In fact, I was worse off than ever. I knew I wanted to try to have a child, but I couldn’t imagine how I would ever be able to handle my future child vomiting, given my intense fear of sickness. I really loved working with Lisa on the Thrive programme. She was kind and helpful, and also tough and honest, which I really appreciated. I always knew I’d have to be accountable to her, and that really helped me work hard! If I ever got off track I was able to get back on without too much trouble, and always kept the forward motion! Most of all I enjoyed being able to feel just how much I was changing and improving each week. It’s amazing to see your life changing before your own eyes. The Thrive Programme has definitely helped me. Although there are many things I am still working on, I can truly say that I am not creating anxiety NEARLY as much now as I used to. In fact, I’m not creating anxiety much at all. I would never have believed that were true just a few years ago… but I now realize just how powerful I am over my emotions and reactions. I have the power to create a good day or a bad day. I don’t always get it right but I can honestly say I’m a lot more calm than I used to be. Since the Thrive Programme, I’ve actually faced quite a few challenges. I moved to a new city, applied for jobs for 4 months and then started a new job, and went through a loss and family illness. It hasn’t been easy, but I honestly do feel I’ve handled it all quite well - certainly much better than I would have before.”</image:title>

<image:title>Client Reviews - Ella</image:title>
<image:caption>Ella came to see me struggling with chronic fatigue, emetophobia, anxiety and a condition called POTS, which she felt was making her quality of life incredibly poor. She would often suffer with random dizziness and fainting so often panicked about going outside, which she talked about it in her first video HERE. Fast forward a year, and she decided to do another video update - click below to hear it! She’s now absolutely loving her university life, has gone ‘from failing every class to first class results’, and is well and truly continuing to thrive!</image:caption>

<image:title>About Me - Lisa Erlandsen</image:title>
<image:caption>Licensed Thrive Programme Coach (ATPC) Hello and welcome to my website! I am Lisa and I am an experienced Thrive Programme Coach for Bournemouth and Southampton, helping people to build limitless mental health and learn how to thrive in 6-8 weeks. Our mental health is something we can not only learn to understand, but also change for the better in order to create the best life for ourselves that we truly love and make the most of! Click here to head to my official Thrive Programme Coach page on the Thrive Programme website, and to learn more about the programme directly. I am also a passionate blogger and sobriety advocate in Dorset, both through my bar work and through my Ambassador work with Bee Sober, an organisation I can’t shout enough about for anybody wanting to give sober a go…! Click the ‘Sobriety’ button at the top of this page to find out more. In both my work and my personal life, I help people to discover the joy of ditching the booze and living an alcohol free life, and am passionate about giving people the opportunity to truly rediscover themselves in the process. I love working in Sobar, and am always excited to try and experiment with new and unusual alcohol free drink combinations - after all, there are so many choices these days that sobriety is anything but boring!</image:caption>

<image:title>About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>Year of Fear 2019 I always tell clients that a big part of continuing to thrive and build new skills and achievements is about pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and taking on new challenges. Nobody is born with skills; every skill we have has been learned at some point or other, and the better the skills the more we have practised and honed them. Our mental skills are exactly the same, and the more we practise the new mental skills we learn in The Thrive Programme, the better we get at them! Coaches are no different, and in fact should probably practice them even more so that we are in the absolute BEST state of mind to help our clients to change their own mental health too. I therefore designed and achieved what I called my ‘Year of Fear’! The idea was to do one thing every month of 2019 that scared and/or challenged me, all in the name of raising money for charities including Alcohol Change UK! You can read the article I wrote for Alcohol Change UK about my Year of Fear by clicking the button below, and scroll down to watch my summary video of all my challenges! I raised around £1500 for charity in the end which I was incredibly proud of.</image:caption>

<image:title>About Me - Devon, September 2019 The thing about thriving is, it's not about perfection. Not even a little bit. We're not made (and making others) through the insights in the programme into perfect robots that function and think seamlessly all the time. We're teaching people how to thrive, which is to flourish in our environment, to feel powerful over our actions and reactions, to manage our thoughts well and to be able to cope and tolerate with challenging situations (and to take the learning from them when we don't handle them as well as we'd like!). I 'd argue that's the biggest thing I came away from our bootcamp processing is that we can all still learn new things about ourselves, and better ways of handling things, and that that's a GOOD thing, not a 'failure'! You don't either have or not have thriving skills, you aren't either thriving or not thriving, you have skills that you can continually build on and hone to create the BEST most exciting life for yourself! Some of the highlights included; Coasteering on the rugged Devon coastline, including a 4m cliff jump Surf lessons in the pouring rain at 8:30am Social challenges like rapping to a group (and tolerating getting some of it wrong!), and doing a speech Bootcamp was an incredible experience to learn and improve as a thriver, with a fabulous group of colleagues who were all there to push their limits too!</image:title>

<image:title>Emetophobia - Treatment for</image:title>
<image:caption>Emetophobia Emetophobia is a specific phobia of being sick, or seeing others be sick (or, of course, both!). Also known as vomit phobia, this is one of the most severe phobias we treat at The Thrive Programme. With its own ‘Cure Your Emetophobia And Thrive’ manual, this specifically tailored programme workbook for emetophobia is hugely successful at teaching adults and children how to beat their phobia and thrive. As a Lead Coach on emetophobia, I have taken huge numbers of emetophobes successfully through the programme over the last 5 years and (as an ex-emetophobe myself too!) love helping other emetophobes to overcome their phobia, just as I did in 2015! I have fully overcome my phobia since completing the programme, and am passionate about helping others to do the same, whether adults, children, or whole families.</image:caption>

<image:title>Emetophobia - Did you know?</image:title>
<image:caption>Around 5-8% of the population in the UK (similar figures in the US) are estimated to have this phobia, and 90-95% of sufferers are women/girls (the major thinking styles contributing to creating this phobia are predominantly female learned behaviours and beliefs, hence the prominence amongst women rather than men) Typically, the phobia is misunderstood and misdiagnosed. Sufferers have sometimes reported former (incorrect) diagnoses of anorexia due to their food avoidance/ obsessive behaviours, or ‘GAD’ (Generalised Anxiety Disorder) due to the high levels of anxiety and panic that emetophobes typically suffer from Many GPs report that they have never even heard of the phobia and can appear ‘mystified’ by (in their opinion) such a strange or unusual phobia There are huge amounts of misunderstanding around treatment - even the top emetophobia ‘expert’ in the UK, Dr David Veale, believes it can’t be treated (our own success rates with huge numbers of emetophobes proves otherwise…!) This phobia is actually something that is (unconsciously, and certainly not on purpose!) learned and developed by the sufferer by very particular ways of thinking, and as such, is it both predictable AND treatable.</image:caption>

<image:title>Emetophobia - My Emetophobia Q&A with Rob Kelly</image:title>
<image:caption>In 2018, Rob Kelly (Thrive Programme Creator, and my own Coach going through the programme all those years ago) and I recorded a Q&A video about emetophobia and my own stumbling blocks going through the programme with him. You can watch our very honest and wide ranging discussion below - an especially valuable resource for anyone who has had a lot of blips attempting the programme previously, or for parents with an emetophobic child/ teenager.</image:caption>
